OCT 6: Projects That WERE On Back Burner

This vid was taken a couple of days after I was discharged from nearly 3 days at the hospital.

Still not at 100% but doing better. Good enough to at least THINK about my projects... like the Under The Sea world... need to very lightly cover the water portion with green/aqua-tinted resin, and the seashore needs another layer of Tampa sand mixed with gold glitter. Plus.. earrings like those bats need assembling.

So much to do.  So tired.

Jul 11: ASMR: Resin Pieces Clattering

I know .. off topic, but there are reasons.

• Not sure why, but I am one of those people who like certain sounds. Was checking on the progress of some molds that I cast a while ago, and as the ready pieces hit the plastic tub, it just sounded so good.  Weird, I know.
• I **think** I might need to reduce how often I use resin. I really like the medium but I think the off-gassing might be effecting us. The other day, we both got an odd and yucky taste in our mouths, and developed headaches.
• Had created so many resin pieces because I am hopeful I can sell enough to replace my van with one more reliable, and then schedule W's next testings and brain surgery.
• My hands are starting to fail me. I have carpal tunnel and arthritis. My grandfather had Parkinson's. Desperately wishing but am realistic.

So as the resin pieces clatter into the tub, if you see something you would like to buy, please like and comment both here and on the YouTube video.

Jun 29: It's Been How Long??

Can't believe how long it has been since I last posted.

Since my surgery for June 20 was cancelled, Weslee and I have been trying to just live quiet(er) days. 

W has been binge watching an old TV cartoon, all seasons, and with that calming influence, his seizures have eased off a bit. And temper explosions have dimenished a tad bit too. 

Could it be that my health crises are subconsciously influencing his seizures?

I have been healing (arm bruises from the many times the techs tried to find veins for the iron and platelet infusions from last week. They have finally started to fade). Changed my store launch to mid-July. Have a PCP doc appt this coming week where we will discuss ALL of my symptoms and medications to see if there is a central issue that links them all (where is 'Dr. House' when we need him??)

This week, I worked a little with cement, resin, sand and so on. Getting closer to my visions of wall art "under the sea" and "northern lights", and (not shown here) ... "the galaxy" / cosmos. I find it relaxing. Never in my wildest dream did I picture me mixing up cement with POP (Plaster of Paris), but love it. 

Note: the black circle is a prepped galaxy blank, with gold paint around the perimeter and black resin as the first thin layer. Lots and lots of layers for that.  // To the right of the black are two ornaments that I was playing around with.

Think I will work on the galaxies tomorrow  and maybe do some e-work. Oh, and go through Weslee's meds to get them ready for next week. 

Hmmmm just realized he doesn't have an appt with the epileptologist's office scheduled. Will call next week. Anyone want to remind me?

Easter Art

I made these Easter decorations to sell for Easter but the best laid plans...

The base is resin with moss, the bunnys (bought) are on cement stands, and I made the eggs and carrots from modeling clay.

Valentine's Day Door Decor

I put together this heart wreath for Val Day, and yes, I know I am late getting the pic on here.

Bought the outline at the Dollar Tree, but made the two resin "ribbons" (1 pink for my breast cancer and 1 purple for Weslee's epilepsy). They are hanging at the top left of the wreath.

I also made the sign. Started with a blank piece of wood, decopauged the greenery on, added flower stickers, used paint markers to make them stand out a bit, wrote the sign with nail polish and sealed it all several times.

Lots of interruptions but got it on the door with 1 day to spare. Keeping it up for now.
