One aspect of epilepsy / seizures that people don't really discuss, is incontinence. Not able to control your body when the electronic waves are flashing all hurly burly.
It doesn't happen to everyone, and those who do have to deal with it, it doesn't happen every time there is a seizure.
(I really hope Weslee doesn't read this... because... he is still a kid mentally and emotionally. I would hate to embarrass him.)
Since he started having seizures in 2011 (?), he has lost control only a few times. It was often enough to make an impression.
So for years... YEARS!, he has insisted on wearing disposable underwear... at night only (except when in the hospital, where he wears them 24/7). Until this year, I could get a package of the cheapos, a package of 16, for $9.99. That same pack is now closer to $14. What!?
So I called Medicare, to see if these can be purchased using his Medicare. NO. Simple answer. NO. Can you please check? I have. Still NO.
I asked Weslee if maybe he could do every other night, but I got a kind of low-key freak out.
I try to find them on sale or find a coupon for Depends but I am rarely successful.
Ridiculous rule.
