I have a birthday coming soon. Hard to believe I passed 60 not too long ago, except when I look in the mirror and notice the gray hair and new batches of wrinkles. My hands show what we used toʻ call 'liver spots'... what are they called now?
Weslee, obviously, can't work. He has memory problems from so many brain surgeries and the stroke, and has seizures throughout the day. He has little stamina, and, well, you get the picture. He does get a bit of money from a somewhat steady source, which helps pay on our expences.
But when it comes to luxuries, it is a no go. For all of his life, I have told him ... just a handmade card is fine. It is tangible, and is a fentle way to say: "I put some thought into this."
Yeah, I have to remind him (he has a problem with the concept of time) and bring out some crafting supplies, but I don't mind.
I have kept all of the bday, Mom day and Christmas cards he has made for me. Somewhere.
I wonder what this year's card will look like!
.....
Please help with Weslee's medical expenses. Click here. Thank you.
